Started by music journalist Glenn Astarita and his better half, Pattie - this scenic establishment is situated on a bayou overlooking Slidell's wetlands. The Water’s Edge fills a gap: especially for the Slidell area, which is lacking an environment that might appeal to a mature clientele. Moreover, this newly formed and re-modeled bar and grill signifies a space that combines dining, an amiable atmosphere, prompt and friendly service with great music and five conveniently located TVs.

With a dual bar area amid plenty of tables and a huge (half-covered) deck, patrons will be able to relax and enjoy the ambience. The Water's Edge has an attractive courtyard, dance floor and stage area, along with an extensive selection of imported and draft beers. We’re open for lunch and dinner and always provide free bar snacks. Look for daily and weekly lunch/dinner specials. We also have 1 bar-mounted video machines. However, the Water’s Edge casts a mood-evoking atmosphere, supplemented by the jazzy artwork and indoor/outdoor music system. And when the warm weather returns, you’ll be able to enjoy the music and amenities outside, on the spacious deck area – while viewing the abundance of wildlife and pastoral settings.
