Welcome to my home page for Cottin Pickin Dairy Goats and Rabbitry.My name is Tara Keener and my husband Rodney and I raise Oberhasli, Sables, Saanens and Nubians.I also have EJ a standard Donkey.Tango QH/TWH gelding and Garcie the Appy Mare.We also have a Anatolian Shephard Guinevier and a prynese/collie cross named Champ recently taken in as foster and decieded to keep.A Shihzu who thinks she is a gaurd dog.And a rescued 16 year old Maine Coon Cat who is a 18# ball of fire and ice.My husband Rodney owns the Shady Vale Saanen and Sable herd as well as manages his mother and grand mothers herds, Blackfoot Sables and Shady Glen.We live on 30 acres just North of the cool breezes and white sandy beaches of Pensacola Florida in Cantonment.My husband,a 3rd generation goat breeder, has been raising his own goat herd for 16 or so years and I've been raising them for 13 yrs.We are newlyweds of 7 year and our goats are how we met.Together we run about 40 head of goats.I love to make cheese and soap from the deliciouse milk.UPDATE Aug 2009: We now have added Rabbits to our farm.Please check out the Rabbits page.Contact me at kidntyme@bellsouth.net for any questions or more info.This is a site in progress so check back for updates and added photos.
