Fire Flight at Katum

First Flight -- July 1, 2002
Completed Airplane -- July 1, 2002
FLASH -- RV-7 FLIES MAY 22, 2004
SEE RV-7 PROJECT

I began construction of my RV-6 in Winston-Salem, NC on May 6, 1999 and made my first flight on July 1, 2002 at Vero Beach, FL. Total construction time was about 3,500 manhours over a 3 year, 2 month period. The aircraft is set up for IFR flight with UPS avionics and an S-Tec 30 autopilot. The engine is an AeroSport O-360 A1A set up with 9.2:1 pistons and dual Jeff Rose electronic ignitions. Constant speed Hartzell prop. Probably getting around 190 HP.
