Joe Witte, Physical Therapist, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Pratitioner, Anat Baniel Method
Physical therapist since 1978 with over 30 years of clinical experience. Over the years I have developed an approach which primarily utilizes an array of manual therapy techniques such as: cranial-sacral, myofascial, Jin-Shin-Do acupressure, trigger point treatment with strain-counterstrain, and functional indirect. I am trained in the McKenzie approach for the treatment of back pain and in spine unloading strategies. My approach blends of many of these tools and utilizes Feldenkrais® concepts.
Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner since 2000. The Feldenkrais method was developed by Moshe Feldenkrais and is very popular in Europe. It emphasizes postural and habitual movement retraining to improve ease of movement into more elegant patterns. This often reduces pain and improves flexibility.
Certified in the Anat Baniel Method since 2000. Anat Baniel studied under Moshe Feldenkrais and has developed a practice that has made extraordinary progress in the improved function in children. She teaches “The 9 Essentials for Vitality” which are the keys for life long learning.
Schedule a session to get a custom made approach designed to get immediate results. Instructions are included how to continue the process at home and work to develop habitual patterns of effortless movement and painless activity. No stretching or strengthening is needed when more accurate postural balance is achieved which reduces the effort of movement. Fatigue prevention done consistently also prevents tightness which eliminates the main precursor of pain. The techniques are often relaxing and calming. Give it a try!
