Jan. 21, 1964 - July 14, 2007 This page is dedicated to our first class loss: Miss Maxine Durden. Maxine Durden was born in Toombs County to Irene Durden Lowe and the late Charles Mitchell. Maxine graduated from Toombs Central High School in May 1982. She continued her education by attending Brewton-Parker College and Southestern Technical College. She was CEO of Durden's Financials Inc., and Founder of Maxine Durden's Foundation Joining Hands To Save A Life Inc., where she worked diligently until her death. Sister Maxine was a faithful member at the World Of Power Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. #2 in Vidalia, GA, where she served as the Church Secretary. She departed this life Saturday, July 14, 2007 at her residence in Vidalia, GA after a short illness. Monty Sharpe and Barry Dotson delivered very fine remarks during the service. The Class of '82 were honorary pallbearers.
