ASTRONOMY: The STARGEEZER is what I sometimes call myself, however I am also known as 'The Maniacal Engineer', but my real names is James (Jim) Anderson. Come join me as I explore the mysteries of the heaven and earth. Much of North Carolina has become urban, suburban with rural sky conditions many hours drive from where I live in Raleigh, NC. As a retired person, I have the opportunity of traveling to dark sites all across the USA and staying much of the dark portion of the months. My equipment is Maximillian, a 22 inch StarMaster Dobsonian Telescope and a MEADE 12 inch Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope which is transported in a special van called the 'FernBrook Observatory On The ROAD'.
