| Armadillo Jackal Band at the Natchitoches Folk Festival |
Ben plays in the band "Armadillo Jackal." His instrument of choice is acoustic guitar. He does the Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar. Other band members are Allen Kees--Lead Guitar, George Darfus--Drums and Banjo (but not at the same time), and Keith Shirley--Bass Guitar and Harmony Vocals.
Ben is the one playing the Little Red C.F.Martin & Co. 000-15CE guitar wearing the Terri Hendrix autographed hat. Allen Kees is to the far left playing his Taylor 314CE acoustic guitar.
They play an eclectic mix of songs mostly written by greats such as Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Robert Earl Keen, and other notable songwriters. Their songs are a fine mixture of Texas songwriting spiced with Louisiana Hot Sauce. They play for weddings, funerals, festivals, conventions, meetings, tailgate parties, social events. If you are interested in booking our band and have the $, we will play for you. Contact Armadillo Jackal for booking and other information.
