Welcome one and all to my SSTV webpage. This page is under construction so check
back for more newly added photo's and features as time allows. My hopes with this page
is to spike interest in the Slow Scan Television hobby. This is a great hobby for
HAM RADIO OPERATORS, SWL's (Short Wave Listeners) or someone just wanting to try
something new. What is needed is a radio that receives the 20 meter ham band at 14.230 khz Upper Sideband.
(Slow scan pictures can be copied from quite a few frequencies all across the entire radio spectrum but this fequency will have the most activity.)
Needed also, computer (WITH A SOUNDCARD FOR DEMODULATION) and a very simple to build interface cable.
I will later post on this website some webpages to get the software needed and
information on how to build your own connection cables.
Slow scan is a great hobby if you like to look at pictures as they are transmitted
and decoded in 24 bit true color mode at 16.8 million colors (normal eyesight video).
I will post pictures I have received from all over the free world.
Most of GREAT quality depending on radio wave conditions.
