(Gene)Hays II, USMC (ret). This is the previously untold story of the war behind the scenes in Vietnam. Set in Chu Lai during 1967 and 1968, the author recalls the adventures of the Civic Action Team that made a name for itself throughout the I Corps and South Vietnam. From hilarious moments to tense situations the book covers the interesting details of a team with a mission that served as a model for civil affairs operations in use today in Afghanistan and Iraq.
