Knowledge gives one the power to write the future... Hi, all...I teach English literature and grammar to kids who prefer to remain ignorant. I find this both heart-wrenchingly sad and excruciatingly frustrating. So many of them possess so much potential. These children will move us into a wonderful future...if only they make the effort. Let us hope...

We all have an inner light. We have but to discover it... A Lesson by Moonlight "Welcome to midnight," Said Moon to the stars; "As the darkness grows, Let us conquer Mars." Replied all the stars, "Must we? We cannot. Mars is a mad god; His mind forms black plots." Laughing, Moon stood tall-- He reminded them, "We have light and strength, Many us, one him." Encouraged, they cheered; They followed brave Moon. He strode to his death; Mars held all fortune. Moon lunged and parried; The stars yelled his name, But t'was not enough 'Gainst Mars' angry flame. Moon died that same night, And dead he still is; The stars lie distant, Fearing crimson kiss. Imagination lifts us beyond our limits... A bit about me: I share my birthday with Harry Houdini...of course, I share my birth-month with Adolf Hitler...sigh. I favor my left hand, my left foot, and my right eye...LONG LIVE THE LEFTIES AND SOUTHPAWS AND SINISTRALS...ah, the irony (we're working on it...heh-heh). I create using words and firmly believe that one well-told tale is worth a billion pictures (inflation--what a bitch). I love dragons and unicorns and pegasi and phoenixi and wouldn't be at all surprised if humanity discovered that these and many other beings simply had hidden themselves from us, showing the surrounding cosmos what fools we humans be. I suspect Pandora's Box held Imagination, not Hope. After all, dreams can bring hope back, even to a man who no longer believes he has a chance...
