I love quilts. Scrap quilts and crazy quilts are my favorites. And anything done using the watercolor technique of painting with fabric is very dear to me.
To spend time sewing is the best way for me to relax. I love to experiment with traditional quilt blocks and create a new design by using blending techniques, or trying something I have recently seen. All my projects reveal a little bit about me and all my varied interests.
Together is a watercolor wallhanging I did in 2006 for my husband who was recovering from Bladder Cancer. The cardinals that we watch in our backyard many mornings have become a symbol of togetherness for us. This recently won First Place at the NTQG Quilt Show.
The Poster Project was a round robin exchange in 2008. A different quilter worked on one of 4 sections, which then came back to me to put together and finish. I was afraid it would be awful, but I love it.
