I love to repair books. I love it so much that I have made mending books my business.
I can make your book useable, again. I cannot make it like new, but I can fix minor problems. "What kind of problems?" you ask. Well, I can mend broken covers, hinges, and put loose pages back in the book, to name a few.
(Example of book needing repair.)
I can put special tape on the binding to make it stronger.
I have even been known to fix a pop-up book if I have all the pieces.
I will not even attempt to fix antique or valuable books. I am not qualified.
I have repaired cookbooks, novels, and children's books. I use archival grade supplies whenever possible. "School glue" does not touch any book I repair.
My qualifications: I was a librarian and mended books as needed. I volunteered at a library to repair their books and have attended their workshops.
